Ok Table

Inspired by the design of a classic picnic table and the communal associations that it invokes, the OK Table fosters community and invites collaboration in an office environment. At 10′-6″ long and nearly 4′ wide, the table sits up to fourteen people. In order to support the table’s long span, the designer drew upon the structure inherent in bridge trusses. The OK table is constructed of ash wood and each tabletop plank is washed with a varying shade of orange. The use of natural wood plays with the common perception of the traditional picnic table while the orange gradient elevates it in a surprising and refreshing way.
